Kepong Ba Kut Teh

All these while I just knew that Klang is famous of its Ba Kut Teh. I never realized that there was actually one shop in Kepong which is famous of this food as well.

Last Saturday my KL landlord and his friends brought us to a coffee shop at Kepong to taste the very famous Ba Kut Teh over there. The trip from Bukit Jalil Savannah Condo to this shop took us about 45 minutes.

When we arrived there, the shop was full. A lot of people were there just for Ba Kut Teh. Restoran Kim Tek is the restaurant's name.

[Outside view of Kim Tek Restaurant]

After looking for a while, we finally found a place to sit down, a table which could accommodate 8 persons, who drove 2 cars all the way from Bukit Jalil to Kepong just to taste the Ba Kut Teh.

[Kim Tek Restaurant in Kepong - famous of its Ba Kut Teh]

The business was extremely overwhelming! The workers had to run up and down just to deliver foods to the customers. Yes! I am talking about running and not walking. That should give you a picture how good the business is.

[The worker was running when delivering foods]

I could also hear the taukehnio shouted everywhere just to make sure orders could reach the cook as fast as possible.

[Claypot Ba Kut Teh on cook]

Landlord's friend, SC ordered 2 big pots of Ba Kut Teh and also some side orders. Sorry, I didn't know the exact term of these foods, perhaps the photos can tell you what they are.

About the taste, well I didn't have much comment on it as I am not an expert of Ba Kut Teh. Anyway, I could say that it was quite delicious, not much different from the one I ate in Klang before. The few differences I could notice are that the soup here was more concentrated than the one in Klang and the medical aroma was a little heavier. One more thing is that customers could choose which part of pork they prefer to cook the Ba Kut Teh.

At the end of the meal, SC paid slightly more than a hundred for it. Yes! it was his treat! Thanks SC, my landlord and his friends for this wonderful meal!

Hunting For GT Girls!

I know... after my post about GT girls yesterday, a lot of "buaya" out there were drooling an hoping for more GT girls! Ok... just to satisfy those hungry "buaya", today I went out whole day just to seek for more GT girls again!

I started from Time Square, but there was no F1 promotion there. Then I went to Sungei Wang and Lowyat Plaza. Couldn't find any. Coincidentally, I met jackyfoxking during lunch hour. He told me there were GT girls near Pavillion and Suria KLCC. Looks like he is not only the fox king, but also the buaya king as well!! HAHAHA! (Just kidding fox king ;p)

So after the lunch, I continued my hunting GT girls mission for "buaya" readers. I walked from Bintang Walk to Pavillion. There I really found some kind of F1 promotion, but actually it was Maxis promotion using F1 as hook. Ok, here I saw some GT girls. There were about 4 of them but I just managed to shot 2. The other 2 were too busy serving and persuading customers.

The one in photo below was the most pretty among the GT girls. However, she was quite busy entertaining customers therefore I didn't have much chance to shot her photo. Furthermore, she kept avoiding my camera! Damn! After I put in some efforts, luckily I still managed to shot some. You people should appreciate this photos and don't complain too much! They came hard!

Another one with short hair also kept avoiding my camera lens! Haiyo... why these GT girls so unprofessional one! Their employers didn't teach them how to be professional and friendly then smile in front of camera? Ok... forget about that uncle... you can just concentrate on the GT girls!

After successfully hunted 2 GT girls in Pavillion, I continued my mission by walking to Suria KLCC. Once entered the main lobby of Suria KLCC, The Petronas F1 GP promotion was just in front of me. I saw two GT girls wearing Petronas t-shirt and mini-skirt, each of them stood at the front and the rear of a BMW Petronas Formula 1 car. There were a lot of people surrounded the girls and the car.

After some efforts, I successfully penetrated into the crowd and shot some photos of these GT girls. These girls were more professional if compared to those I found in Pavillion. You can request to take their photo anytime.

This one has a sweet smile. She looks pretty with her smile.

The following photo is even nicer. I saw both of them somehow stood at the same place, therefore I gently requested them to pose in front of my camera. See how sweet when both of them smile! This is what I called professional GT girls!

At the end of the day, I was exhausted! Imagine... from Time Square to Lowyat, then to Sungei Wang, Pavillion and last destination Suria KLCC! I spent whole day hunting for GT girls exclusively for my blog readers! Now my leg is painful, my ankle is ache and I am tired!

Met With GT Girls @ One Utama

Met with few GT girls (a.k.a race queens) this morning when I went to One Utama. There is a Serpang F1 promotion over there. I think I won't say much, a lot of "buaya" won't even care what I am writing at this moment. Most of them will just staring at the GT girls.

These are 2 of them. From their appearance, should be foreign GT girls. I am not sure why one of them need to cover her body with white cloth. Perhaps she is having flu or too shy?

Another 2 I think should be foreign GT girls as well. These 2 are very tall! Not even dare to stand beside them! ;p

Then the follwoing 2 GT girls are chinese! I prefer these 2. Look really sexy and attractive. They stood behind me, no wonder just now when I played the F1 simulation race game, my Maclaren F1 car kept out of control and ran out from track! Damn! As the result, I got last in the race! (Thanks for Jackyfoxking who helped me to shot this photo!)

You see, my hand was shaking when I tried to shot on this pretty GT girl! Maybe I was too nervous! Sorry for that! The 2 Chinese GT girls were help in setting up the simulation race and giving instruction before the race start.

Oh ya! I also requested the GT girls to pose beside the very sexy sports car so that I could take some shots (actually I just find an excuse to take her photo la... ^_^). When sexy car meet with pretty girl, this give me the "Fast and Furious" feel! This pretty girl initially felt a bit shame when I requested her for photo, but she still made a very nice posing beside the Mazda sports car! (Don't ask me about the car model, that time I just concentrate on the GT girls ok?) ;p

I also had the opportunity to shot on another model posing beside a Volkswagen rally car. Today I am so lucky meeting with so many leng loi!!

P/s: OMG! I just noticed that I didn't take close shot on these GT girls face! Damn!

My Birthday In KL

Today is actually my birthday! Happy Birthday to me!! My age? A secret ok?

Don't have any special celebration for my birthday as I am in KL now. In fact even if I am in my hometown, there won't be any special celebration as well because normally I will just celebrate my lunar calendar birthday and not the Gregorian calendar one.

My family did celebrate my lunar calendar birthday just a day before I flied to KL. As usual, my mother cooked "Mee sua" or "So mian" for me and family. The one having birthday deserved a big big drum stick!!

[Chicken soup mee sua/so mian]

[Giant drum stick for birthday kid!]

Then my mother also prepared boiled eggs. Birthday guy get to have 2 but others only one each!

[Boiled eggs - a must in birthday celebration]

On my lunar calendar birthday this year, coincidentally my 2nd sister and brother-in-law were back home for break. So they bought me a birthday cake, a very nice one but I forgot its name.

[Nice cake from my 2nd sister and brother-in-law]

[The lunar calendar birthday's cake]

Oh no! My birthday today will be over in just about 5 minutes time! Although I didn't have any special celebration today, but I felt appreciate because I got some "birthday gifts"!

First I got this Colgate Plax for free when I was walking to have lunch with my colleagues! Some leng loi gave me this! I got one when went for lunch then another when i was back to office! Isn't it sounds good? I just treat these as my brithday presents from leng loi lo! ;p After all, we shall live our life positively, don't we?

[My birthday present from leng loi! 2 bottles of Colgate Plax]

[Colgate Plax free sample that I got on my birthday]

Then, I bought myself a birthday gift as well! Guess what? It is a computer mouse!! I had been surveying a cheap, nice and pretty (Peng, leng, Jan) computer mouse in Lowyat Plaza on weekend and today I just happened to went there with my colleagues during lunch hour, so I managed to get it as my birthday present! Sounds good right?

[Birthday present to myself - a cheap mouse]

The mouse is just a cheap one, RM16 with 3 months warranty! But I like its shape and it is more ergonomics looking. I tried it and it is really not bad to hold! Thanks myself for the birthday present! (Actually I need a mouse for the notebook I used now! ;p )

[Ergonomics looking mouse]

I would also like to thanks all my friends and siblings who remember my birthday and wished me either through SMS, call or email! I love you all, you all make my day!

Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to ahwen,
Happy Birthday to me!!!

Mac Mini For Top Programmer

Did you ever see how a Mac mini actually look like? Honestly I never saw or heard Mac mini before until currently company bought one.

This Mac mini is specifially for company's "top programmer". He's the only one has been given special permission to touch and operate this modern machine (Of course the boss get to touch it first). He's using this machine to develop iphone application. Well, I guess this is the advantage to be company's "top programmer" as you have the rights and priority to explore and use the latest technology.

As for me who is just a small application programmer, I just have the chance to take a look at it from far. Honestly I haven't touch it until this moment of writing! How poor I am!

However, luckily I managed to "steal" some photos on this Mac mini to share with you all while the "top programmer" was away doing his "business" at the back.

Don't be jealous... if you want to use it, be the top programmer la!

My Working Routine Life In Metropolitan

The working routine life in big city is really hectic. First of all, you need to wake up early because normally it takes time for you to reach your office. Unless you are staying nearer to your workplace but how many can stay near? Traffic jam is a big headache in metropolitan. So basically people will use public transport such as Light Railway Transit (LRT).

For me, everyday I have to wake up early at 5.30am! Imagine that? This is the best time to sleep! Every morning I wake up, my head is spinning! But we have to take turn using bathroom, so better prepare earlier than late. After I am done, if still have time I will take a simple breakfast. Well, maybe just some biscuits or breads. That's all. No more kampua!

[6.30am - Time to depart]

Then after everybody is done with their cloth changing, make up, morning exercise, bla bla bla.... (well, how do I know what they do in their room?) usually around 6.30am, this is the time we have to start our journey to the office.

We first have to walk to the nearest LRT station, which spent us about 12 - 15 minutes of walking distance. The Bukit Jalil Star line LRT station is just beside Bukit Jalil Stadium. Therefore everyday we have to walk pass Bukit Jalil Stadium. It is a very nice building. Everytime I see it I'll "WAH!".

[Bukit Jalil Star LRT Station - "Bukit Jalil" look right?]

As this LRT station is within the Bukit Jalil sports complex's compound, therefore it is very "Bukit Jalil" look. I guess you should know what I mean. Don't play play with this station, it is the venue where Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones meet towards the end of the movie "Entrapment" (Thanks for my brother-in-law who notify me about this ;p ).

[This is the station where Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones met in Entrapment!]

Ok, back to the topic, from Bukit Jalil Stadium, we will stop at Hang Tuah station. We have to pass through 8 LRT stations before reaching Hang Tuah station. Bukit Jalil - Sungai Besi - Tasik Selatan - Bdr Tun Razak - Salak Selatan - Cheras - Chan Sow Lin - Pudu -Hang Tuah. This take us around 20 minutes and the ticket costs RM1.90.

[Inside view of Star LRT train]

[Hang Tuah Star LRT station]

From Star line Hang Tuah station, we then have to walk few staircases to reach a monorail station also named as Hang Tuah Station. From there we will transit to Raja Chulan Station. Hang Tuah - Imbi - Bukit Bintang - Raja Chulan. This around 5 minutes route costs RM1.20.

[Hang Tuah monorail station]

[Inside a monorail headed to Raja Chulan station]

When reach Raja Chulan station, we then have to walk for another 10 minutes or so before we reach our office at UOA building. The whole route from Savanna Condo to UOA building took us about one hour. Definitely it is tiring and cause sweating, but this is the routine working life in metropolitan such as Kuala Lumpur.

[7.30am - The time we arrive at the office usually]

[Raja Chulan Monorail Station]

[Monorail coming!]

Don't forget, we have to follow the same routine again to go back after work! Gosh! It is really tiring I tell you! Before we go back, we will stop somewhere to take our dinner. It is too hard to find a eating place nearby near my condo unless you got a car.

This is my routine working life currently.

P/s: (Note to my brother-in-law, Bukit Jalil to Chan Sow Lin Station will take about 30 15 minutes)

My KL Office

I not gonna write much here but just wanna share with you all about my KL office. It is located inside at 24th floor of UOA Center building.

The building is heavily guarded. There are smartly uniformed security guards at each entrance and you need to have Proximity access card in order to enter the building.
