Shell LEGO Ferrari Miniature - Pit Crew Minifigures

I promise you that this will be my last post about Shell Lego Ferrari collectible items. I had wrote 6 of them in total before this, with each of them describing one of the item and all of them are about car models.

This post is about a more special item which has even higher collectible value! It's the 7th collectible item in this promotion which is the LEGO's Shell-Ferrari Pit Crew minifigures!

The packing is a bit different from the previous items. There are some parts which are wrapped in a transparent poly-bag. I couldn't figure out the reason behind this, but I believe it's because there are too many tiny parts in this pack, thus wrapping those parts in another poly bag will make the package not as messy.

[Parts inside the transparent poly bag]

There are total of 50 bricks and parts inside the package, a box of sticker and a instruction manual.

The package containing 3 LEGO minifigs with their respective accessories. They are the Ferrari Race Mechanic with front trolley-jack, Ferrari Refueling Engineer with mobile refueling unit and a Shell Track Scientist with laboratory rack and equipment.

[Refueling unit 1]

These three exclusive LEGO Minifigures were chosen as part of this limited edition collectible to reflect the technical partnership between Shell and Ferrari spans over 60 years.  Together they had run R&D to develop better performing fuels and lubricants, for road and race track.

As usual, there are some extra parts in this package:

Shell LEGO Ferrari Miniature - Scuderia Ferrari Truck

Save the best for last! Yeah... that's exactly how I felt when I left the Iveco Stralis Scuderia Ferrari Truck to be the last among the 6 LEGO cars model to assemble.

I am not sure why I was having extra excitement about this model, but it gave me the feeling of compact, strong and cool! Furthermore it was the only truck in the collection so that makes it the most outstanding among the 6 models in the collection!

There are total of 40 parts and bricks in this package. 18 are red in color, 10 are black, 3 in light grey, 1 in dark grey, 4 rims, 4 tyres, one box of stickers and a instruction manual.

Unlike the previous models I had assembled, the parts involved in forming the Ivesco's tractor are rather "general". What I mean is you hardly see the specifically designed parts such as the rear part of 250GT Berlinetta or the front part of Ferrari F40 but more to general bricks. That's why I hardly imagine how these "general-looking" bricks and parts can be transformed into such a cool tractor! This had left me with more space of imagination thus added up to the excitement of assembling it!

See how these "general-looking" bricks been stacked to become a cool Iveco Stralis Scuderia Ferrari tractor! It's pretty amazing!!

For those who might not aware, Iveco is actually a company who supplies the Scuderia Ferrari team with the trucks that transport the Formula 1 Grand Prix cars to the world championship race tracks. The partnership between Iveco and Ferrari may explain why this truck been chosen to be one of the Shell LEGO Ferrari collectible item.

The rims are pretty unique and cool too... lets take a close look at them:

As usual, here is the size of the miniature relative to a Samsung Galaxy S2 hand phone:

Shell LEGO Ferrari Miniature - F40

This is the 5th out of 6 in my LEGO Ferrari cars collection - the Ferrari F40. To be more precise, it is the LEGO miniature model of Ferrari F40 Competizione 1993 Monte Shell (No.7). The actual race car was piloted by Macro Brand in 1993 Italian GP Championship. It was one of the fastest race car ever produced at that era.

I was looking forward to assemble this model! It was the model with the most combination of colors and also one of the "toughest" to assemble. See the double quote on the word toughest? Yeah... it actually means not so tough with the help of the instruction manual.

Upon unpacking the poly bag, there are total of 52 parts and bricks inside it. 18 are white in color, 10 in yellow, 9 in black, 2 in red, 1 grey and 1 blue each, 3 red "lamps", 4 tyres, 4 rims, a box of sticker and an instruction manual.

Here are the steps to assemble the Ferrari F40:

Now you get yourself a Monte Shell Ferrari F40 Competizione LEGO miniature car!

The distinctive square rear spoiler as well as the rear vented engine cover are among the symbolic features on F40 reproduced in this LEGO miniature. I personally like the engine vent so much!

As usual there are few extra "spare parts" in the package.

Shell LEGO Ferrari Miniature - FXX

Shell LEGO Ferrari miniature promotion is back for its 2nd phase! The promotion which is back on 29th November added 3 more Ferrari cars' model to the purchasing list. The FXX, F40 and Scuderia Ferrari Truck.

Ferrari FXX had become my first choice out of the 3. I personally felt the black design with a white stripe make it looks so cool and mysterious! FXX is actually the high performance race car and prototype built by Ferrari in Maranello, Italy from 2005-2007 and it is one of the most powerful car in the world!

When unpacked, there are total of 56 LEGO bricks and parts involved in the forming of this FXX model. As the car is black in color so most of the parts are black - 38 of them, 7 in red, 2 in light grey, 1 in blue, 4 tyres, 4 rims, a box of sticker and a instruction manual.

It's one of the most complicated model to assemble among the 6 in total. However, it didn't poses much problems since the instruction manual illustrated steps clearly. Just that you need to be more careful and details when referring to it since some of the steps involved more than one parts.

The rims of this FXX are very nice and special! Take a close look:

Here are the experience of assembling the LEGO Ferrari FXX:

Now I got myself a LEGO Ferrari FXX in black with white stripe! Look cool isn't it? The sleek design of the car has been featured in this miniature model.

As usual, there are few extra parts in the package:
